Youll play a hands-on role in day-to-day operations building strong relationships with members and supporting your team to thrive while enhancing overall member part of the leadership team youll bring a positive can-do attitude confidently guide your team through change and foster a fun supportive culture where both staff and members feel valued. Youll be someone who leads by example isnt afraid to jump in and help and genuinely enjoys making a difference in peoples health and wellbeing is a full-time role that requires flexibility including early mornings evenings and weekends. You will balance being in the thick of it with effectively managing multiple priorities always maintaining a calm approachable and solutions-focused the Health & Wellness Team Leader your primary responsibilities will include:Leading the Health and Wellness team to consistently deliver top-tier member-focused serviceBeing highly visible and engaged on the floor building strong relationships with members and staffBuilding growing and supporting our personal training businessCoordinating training and development for gym floor staff group fitness instructors and personal trainersDeveloping and reviewing the group fitness timetable monthly ensuring it aligns with budget and member demandAssisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Health and Wellness teamManaging staff rosters ensuring alignment with payroll budgets and qualification complianceMonitoring and reporting on class attendance member feedback and survey results to drive continuous improvementPartnering closely with the Memberships Lead to enhance member journeys and support membership growth and salesRequired skills and Qualifications:Certificate III & IV in Fitness or relevant tertiary qualificationCurrent CPRProvide First AidVictorian Working with Children CheckExperience in a managerial role within the health and wellness sectorExperience in group fitnessStrong communication skillsStrong fitness prescription experienceStrong computer skills including good knowledge in Microsoft Office Strong supervisory and conflict resolution skillsStrong time management skills and an ability to manage competing is this a great place to workYou will love working at the State Sport Centres.
