Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery/OB (Days)
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery/OB for a 13-week travel assignment in Wausau WI 54401.
Contract Details
- 12 hour nights 7p-730a
- Start Date: 4/27/2026
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Location: Wausau WI 54401
- Hourly Pay: $ 39.50
- Non-taxed Stipend: $1246.00
- Weekly Total Pay: $2312.50
- Radius Rule: TRAVLER MUST BE OUTSIDE 50 MILES FROM FACILITY
- Weekend/Holiday: every 3rd weekend and every other holiday rotation
- On Call/Call Back Requirements:. Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours
- Charting Experience: Primary EMR is EPIC. Experience preferred.
- Unit Information (Bed size Case type Patient ratio): 11 bed L&D / 8 Bed Postpartum 1350 deliveries annually
- Average Daily Census: Highly variable. The Average monthly delivery rate is 112/month.
- Scrub colors: any color
- Vaccination Required: During the flu season any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask always. Compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.
- Traveler Policy: GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays where the unit is closed.
** Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours travelers can be put on call during the 36 hours of unbillable low census. If called back in they will have to call back pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor the mother and babys health during labor and delivery
- Administer medications and manage pain relief options
- Assist obstetricians and midwives during labor and delivery procedures
- Provide emotional support and education to the mother and her family
- Prepare and maintain sterile delivery rooms and equipment
- Handle emergency situations such as fetal distress or maternal complications
- Record and monitor vital signs of both mother and baby
- Initiate and manage intravenous (IV) lines
- Assist with cesarean sections and other surgical deliveries
- Educate new mothers on postpartum care and breastfeeding
- Coordinate with pediatric staff for immediate newborn care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Support mothers with postpartum exercises and recovery plans
Compensation:
- Weekly Pay (hourly) Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years in OB with L&D experience.
- IP/OP/ Video swallow studies skills are desired
- Must have (AHA or ARC) BLS/BCLS certification
- Must have Advanced NRP.
- WI RN license is required
- Must have Associate Degree
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong communication professionalism and reliability
