Job Title: Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical

Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week (3x12)
Shift: Day Shift (12-hour shifts)

Position Overview

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on high-acuity patients. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care including oncology and step-down cases in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical/surgical patients
• Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments including chemotherapy (if certified)
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions such as oncology and sickle cell disease
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Ensure adherence to patient safety and infection control standards
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition

Patient Population

• Oncology patients
• Step-down level care
• High-acuity cases including sickle cell disease

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience in a similar-sized facility
• Experience with high-acuity patient populations preferred
• Chemotherapy certification preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (State of Georgia or compact)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Schedule & Work Details

• 12-hour day shifts
• 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• No requested time off (RTO) permitted during assignment
