Location: Augusta ME
Facility: VA Maine Healthcare System (Togus VAMC)
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM rotating call
Start Date: Upon credentialing

Compensation

$300 per hour
Overtime and callback eligible
Weekly pay options

Position Overview
You will provide comprehensive gastroenterology care to veterans in a clinical and procedural setting. You will manage consults perform procedures and support inpatient and outpatient care.

Responsibilities

Perform GI evaluations consults and follow-up care
Conduct procedures based on privileging
Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
Document care in VA electronic health record
Provide on-call coverage (rotating schedule)
Collaborate with VA clinical teams

Schedule Details

Clinic hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
On-call:
- 1 weeknight rotation (1 in 4)
- 1 weekend in 4
- 1 holiday in 4
Must respond:
- Phone within 15 minutes
- In-person within 1 hour if required

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Active unrestricted medical license (any state)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
DEA NPI required
Strong procedural and clinical experience
