About the role
The Forterra Enterprise Services team seeks a highly skilled customerfocused IT Support Technician to join our growing team. This role requires strong technical depth across Linux Windows macOS and Microsoft 365 along with the ability to troubleshoot independently and automate where possible. Youll serve as a goto technical resource for issues contribute to system improvements and help drive a bestinclass support experience. Ideal candidates bring experience from highperformance environments such as major tech companies or fastgrowing startups.
As our IT Support Technician you will be responsible for handling support issues directly and escalating where appropriate. You will be the first friendly face to help users with a multitude of requests spanning many disciplines and technologies. This is a great opportunity to build both social and technical skills as you solve large and small issues that together allow smooth day-to-day activity at Forterra.
What youll do
- Provide Tier 1 support across Linux Windows and macOS environments
- Own support issues and drive them to efficient resolution with strong rootcause analysis
- Develop scripts (PowerShell/Bash) to automate routine tasks and improve support efficiency
- Support onboarding access control and user lifecycle management
- Assist with AV setup endpoint deployment and hardware troubleshooting
- Maintain asset management and operational documentation
- Collaborate closely with IT leadership to enhance processes reliability and user experience
Qualifications
- 3 years in an IT Service Desk or technical support role
- Proficiency with Linux administration and debugging (user management system logs networking package management)
- Experience with one or more service management platforms (Jira ServiceNow etc.)
- Strong scripting or automation experience (PowerShell Bash etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive solutionsdriven attitude
- Ability to thrive in fastmoving or highgrowth environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Networking experience (Cisco Juniper Palo Alto)
- Experience in a startup or rapidscale environment
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and contribute to collaborative highstandards team culture

US Salary Range
$75000.00$85000.00
The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience education specialized training critical expertise training and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterras overall compensation addition to base salary and equity Forterra offers competitive benefits for full-time employees including:
