Job Summary
About the Role
The GSOC Supervisor role is embedded with our client and reports to the embedded GSOC Manager. The GSOC Supervisor will be the primary tactical operations leader for a 24/7 operations centre responsible for the continuous monitoring of CCTV alarms customer requests emerging threats and crisis management response within the enterprise. The GSOC Supervisor will also be responsible for assisting the GSOC Manager with developing the teams threat intelligence capability for determining the likelihood and impact of threats against the clients people assets operations and reputation (such as civil unrest crime terrorism extreme weather health hazards or technical failures).
Working under the GSOC Manager the GSOC Supervisor will the first line leader for all GSOC Operators on shift. You must have a sharp enthusiasm for corporate security analysis and problem-solving. The role involves engaging directly with stakeholders within the client organization to interpret their requirements providing hands-on support and consulting. Candidates must therefore be confident and skilful communicators and be willing to take responsibility for enhancing their leadership position will be onsite 5 days a week Monday - Friday 7 am - 3 pm.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Monitor and direct the teams use of all-source intelligence (including alert feeds traditional and social media and in-house sources) to monitor for security incidents and trends within the clients areas of operation and locations determining the likely impact to staff assets operations events and reputation.
- Follow rehearsed procedures to respond to alarms customer requests and incident alerts.
- Draft analytical reports that are timely credible and provide actionable information for internal stakeholders.
- Support the growth of the intelligence function within the client company by working in collaboration with other team leaders to develop and innovate assessment techniques.
- Be an effective leader of a small team proactively solving problems and focusing on the delivery of lean high-impact services.
- Work with the GSOC Manager to improve SOPs for threat triaging and incident management.
- Lead training sessions and drills to rehearse incident preparation and response SOPs.
- Use personal initiative taking ownership of tasks and delivering solutions under minimal guidance.
- Ensure that client intelligence requirements are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of global politics security criminal environmental and governance issues.
- Skilled in assessing how geopolitical and security threats impact business operations travelers and sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced research abilities including data manipulation and visualization.
- Capable of rapidly analyzing large volumes of information and providing creative rigorous insights.
- Inspirational team member with a visionary mindset and leadership potential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with tools like Everbridge Dataminr and analytical platforms (e.g. Ontic Tableau Palantir).
- Preferred cross-functional experience in global security roles especially in leadership capacities.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Security Studies International Relations Criminal Justice Journalism or related field; preferred Masters degree or above in a relevant subject.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) intelligence analysis or geopolitical research. This could be in government law enforcement/military or private sector including some managerial leadership or supervisory experience.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements
This position is largely self-directed and requires understanding and compliance with company policies procedures and values. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to interact collaboratively with the team and stakeholders and communicate via phone videophone or text messaging. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The position may require travel up to 5%.
