Senior Quantity Surveyor

The key responsibilities are anticipated as but not limited to the following;

• Manage monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated
• projects and portfolio of works.
• Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and
• corporate governance rules.
• Lead on commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement.
• Provide proactive advice and guidance on all change including proposed scope changes.
• Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions.
• Contract administration of industry standard and bespoke forms of contract including NEC and ICC terms.
• Ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly.
• Manage the final account settlements.
• Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors and consultants for projects and programmes.

Qualifications :

• Ideally you will be Educated to a degree standard in a related subject or Associate Member of a relevant professional institute with Chartered status.
• Knowledge and experience of NEC 3 and/or NEC 4 contracts.
• Experience of working in the Rail sector is preferable. Also working in a similar role with Consultancies Clients or main contractors delivering Civils M&E and Railway infrastructure projects will also be considered.
• Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their role.
• Good communication skills.
