Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Fixed term contract for 12 months
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Clinical Educator to join the Clinical Education Team. This role is ideal for a clinician with a passion for education quality improvement and delivering high standards of patient-centred care. It offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice teaching and service development to support the ongoing development of the workforce.
The successful candidate will spend 50% of their time in clinical areas supporting staff with practice development competency achievement and role modelling best practice. 40% of the role will focus on teaching within the Education Centre delivering and evaluating clinical skills training programmes with the remaining 10% dedicated to planning policy development and administrative responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be a registered healthcare professional with a strong clinical background excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting and developing others. They will contribute to promoting evidence-based practice supporting clinical governance and ensuring staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver safe effective and high-quality care.

Qualifications :
Essential
- Hold a current registered professional qualification with either the HCPC or NMC.
- Evidence of a commitment to professional development
- Evidence of clinical currency
- Proven experience of working collaboratively and effectively within a multi-professional environment
- Proven experience of supervising and assessing practice in a multi-professional practice environment
- Evidence of delivering education and training either 1:1 or in groups
- Current working knowledge of the NHS including current national initiatives concerning health education

- A Certificate or Degree in Education & Training level 3 4 or 5 qualification
