Job Summary

  • Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service.
  • Perform all tasks of Night Audit Guest Services Agent including but not limited to: greet check in and settle guest accounts with an engaging and personalized approach while following all department policies procedures and service standards
  • Audit daily operations through overnight task list.
  • Responsible for providing a seamless and exceptional guest arrival and departure experience.
  • Adhere to Leading Quality Assurance Standards and Service Essentials for Guest Services Agent to ensure Guest Satisfaction Results.
  • Act as an Ambassador for Fairmont Waterfront and the City of Vancouver creating memorable experiences for our guests and visitors.
  • Provide knowledgeable information regarding hotel facilities and general city information.
  • Ensure loyalty members and other VIPs receive special attention and recognition.
  • Perform cashiering duties as required and follow all credit and cash out procedures.
  • Take ownership of all guest inquiries comments and feedback and follows up in a ambassadorial and efficient manner while adhering to feedback procedures.
  • Adhere to standards of conduct dress hygiene uniforms appearance and posture.
  • Participate in daily briefings.
  • Participate in department and hotel initiatives.
  • Adhere to H&S policies and procedures.
  • Support and participate in Colleagues Engagement Survey action plans and departmental engagement development.
  • Maintains a presence on the Reception Desk and throughout the lobby with welcoming smile and demeanor.  
  • Deal with all guest inquiries with efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Service-focused personality is essential; previous Front Desk experience preferred
  • Availability to work overnight shifts on a rotating schedule
  • Computer literacy a must with Opera experience an asset
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • A passion for Guest Service and a skill for anticipating guest needs
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
  • Post-secondary education in Hotel Management an asset
  • Proficient in the English language (verbal & written) second language is an asset
  • Physical Aspects of Position: 
    • Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following: 
    • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
    • Occasional kneeling pushing pulling lifting
    • Occasional ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramps
