Job Summary
Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Cumming GA 30041
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours/week (5x8)
Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts)
Position Overview
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging procedures in a patient-focused clinical environment. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety maintain compliance with regulatory standards and deliver excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate mammography equipment and maintain image quality standards
- Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Review physician orders and patient history for accuracy
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
- Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members
- Educate patients on procedures and address concerns
Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in mammography required
- Strong knowledge of imaging procedures and patient care
Education & Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- ARRT (Mammography) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- State licensure as required (Georgia)
