Legal Counsel
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and daily legal support. Recommend strategies to the Voith Group companies in China and other APAC countries;
- Foresee and protect the Voith Group companies in APAC against legal risks;
- Review draft and negotiate contracts and commercial agreements;
- Ensure compliance with appropriate corporate governance practices;
- Coordinate litigation matters and supervise and manage outside counsel;
- Provide advices in addressing employment-related issues.
- Corporate Governance Issues management of legal entity registration and deregistration in China.
- Provide Compliance trainings participating in compliance case investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Lead or participate in global initiatives or projects.
Requirements:
- A master or above degree from a top tier law school
- Fluency in English on both speaking and writing.
- 5 years experience in a corporate legal department or a law firm focusing on corporate issues
- Excellent negotiation skills; The ability to work independently and creatively;
- Travel to Voith Operation Units at Shanghai and other cities is required.
