Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our dynamic team at SS&C Technologies Inc. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance security and availability of our critical Oracle database systems supporting various business applications and data infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities**

* Install configure upgrade and patch Oracle database software and related products (e.g. Grid Infrastructure RMAN RAC ASM Data Guard TDE).

* Create and manage Oracles multitenant architectureCDB (Container Database)and PDBs (Pluggable Databases).
* Perform database performance tuning including SQL query optimization instance tuning and capacity planning.
* Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN Data Guard and other relevant tools.
* Monitor database performance troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
* Manage database security including user access roles privileges and auditing.
* Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine database administration tasks.
* Collaborate with application development teams to support database design development and deployment activities.
* Participate in on-call rotation for production support and provide technical expertise during critical situations.

* Ability to resolve Oracle related issues during direct calls/Teams meetings with client personnel.
* Document database configurations procedures and best practices.
* Stay up-to-date with new Oracle technologies and industry trends.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
* 8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a production environment.
* Proficiency with Oracle Database versions 19c 21c and higher including CDB/PDB.
* Strong experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.
* Expertise in RMAN for backup and recovery operations.
* Solid understanding of SQL PL/SQL and performance tuning methodologies.
* Experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems including shell scripting.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
