About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead and deliver complex infrastructure and construction projects in a highly regulated environment. The role focuses on planning coordinating and executing projects while ensuring compliance with safety regulations technical specifications and project governance.
You will work closely with internal experts contractors engineering teams and regulatory stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and according to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan organize and lead projects from concept through execution and commissioning.
- Develop project plans timelines and budgets while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Monitor project progress and performance to ensure delivery within scope time and budget.
Technical Coordination
- Initiate and oversee technical studies engineering analyses and solution concepts.
- Coordinate internal and external project teams including engineering consultants and contractors.
- Ensure technical and safety specifications are properly implemented throughout project phases.
Construction & Infrastructure Delivery
- Manage the execution and commissioning of installations infrastructure and technical solutions.
- Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate project team competencies and provide guidance and support to internal and external collaborators.
Stakeholder & Risk Management
- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify risks and issues across project phases and drive effective mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project progress financial status timelines and results to steering committees and stakeholders.
Documentation & Compliance
- Manage complete project documentation including construction and as-built files.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate project dossiers technical documentation and administrative follow-up.
Procurement & Contract Management
- Act as contracting authority representative within public procurement processes.
- Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations.
- Manage contracts with contractors and suppliers and monitor contractual obligations.
Change Management
- Ensure organizational adoption of changes introduced through projects.
- Communicate impacts benefits and operational changes to stakeholders and end users.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and processes within the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
- Masters degree in Engineering (or equivalent through experience).
- Strong experience in project or program management within engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing medium to large construction projects.
- Experience coordinating engineering design phases (basic & detailed engineering) with consultants and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of public procurement regulations.
- Understanding of safety regulations and technical compliance frameworks.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills with the ability to coach and guide multidisciplinary teams.
