Job Summary

Performs diagnostic repair and maintenance work on diesel-powered equipment including transmissions and related components. Responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues completing repairs and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely. Supports senior technicians on complex jobs while maintaining accurate documentation and a clean safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with equipment.
Identify and order necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.
Perform standard repairs including replacement of parts and components.
Conduct routine maintenance based on established schedules and guidelines.
Complete work orders and timesheets accurately and on time.
Assist senior technicians with complex repair tasks.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow all quality standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 24 years of related experience.
Technical certification in automotive and/or diesel engine repair required.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Skills & Abilities

Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) preferred.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and laptop-based systems.
Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
