Our client is a leading energy infrastructure organization seeking an accomplished Lead Engineer to oversee critical construction engineering operations. This is a senior-level contract position requiring extensive experience in managing complex engineering projects within large-scale industrial or energy environments. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership ensure engineering excellence and drive project execution for major construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and oversight for all engineering aspects of major construction projects
Develop and review engineering designs specifications and construction documents
Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
Manage engineering quality control and assurance processes throughout project lifecycle
Lead technical problem-solving efforts and provide solutions for complex engineering challenges
Interface with project management construction teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment
Mentor and guide junior engineering staff and contractors
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes standards and regulatory requirements
Develop and implement engineering procedures and best practices
Participate in risk assessment and mitigation planning
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil Mechanical Electrical or related field); Masters preferred
Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering experience with at least 5 years in a lead/senior role
Extensive experience in energy utility or heavy industrial construction projects
Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred
Proven track record managing engineering for large-scale capital projects ($50M)
Expert knowledge of engineering principles codes and standards relevant to energy infrastructure
Strong proficiency with engineering software and project management tools
Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical information to diverse audiences
Ability to work on-site full-time at construction operations location
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and team management experience
