Job Title: Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week (3x12)
Shift: Night Shift (12-hour shifts)
Position Overview
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The RN will provide critical care to high-acuity patients utilizing advanced clinical skills and judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor and assess patient conditions including vital signs and hemodynamic status
- Administer medications including IV drips and critical care therapies
- Operate and manage advanced life support equipment (ventilators monitors infusion pumps)
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Respond to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
Experience Requirements
- Previous ICU or critical care experience required
- Strong knowledge of critical care protocols and patient management
Education & Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (State of Georgia or compact)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (preferred)
