Job Title: Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit Location: Atlanta GA Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: 36 hours/week (3x12) Shift: Night Shift (12-hour shifts)
Position Overview
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The RN will provide critical care to high-acuity patients utilizing advanced clinical skills and judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Provide direct care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Monitor and assess patient conditions including vital signs and hemodynamic status
Administer medications including IV drips and critical care therapies
Operate and manage advanced life support equipment (ventilators monitors infusion pumps)
Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Respond to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
Experience Requirements
Previous ICU or critical care experience required
Strong knowledge of critical care protocols and patient management
Education & Licensure
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (State of Georgia or compact)
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (preferred)
