Shift: Day Shift (5x8-Hour)
Schedule: Monday & Thursday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Tuesday Wednesday & Friday: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
Duration: 6 Weeks
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Medical Assistantfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Columbus IN.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients for provider visits
- Take and document patient vital signs
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
- Administer vaccines as directed
- Perform EKG and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Support front desk and back-office operations
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure proper patient flow and coordination
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
Required Skills & Experience
- 23 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Front and back-office experience
- Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience
- EKG and POC testing experience
- EMR documentation experience
- Scheduling and patient rooming experience
- Vital signs measurement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Medical Assistant certification (Strongly Preferred)
Required Certifications & Licensure
- BLS or CPR certification
- Medical Assistant certification (Preferred)
