Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger to join our team in Johannesburg South South Africa. As a Rigger you will be responsible for assembling and installing rigging equipment and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy objects. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine rigging requirements - Select and inspect rigging equipment including slings cables and hooks to ensure they meet safety standards - Assemble and install rigging equipment such as cranes hoists and pulleys according to specifications - Attach and secure rigging equipment to objects being lifted using hand tools and power tools - Direct and guide crane operators in the movement of objects using hand signals or two-way radios - Inspect and maintain rigging equipment to ensure it is in good working condition - Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries - Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Certification in Rigging or a related field is preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rigger in an industrial setting - Strong knowledge of rigging equipment and techniques - Ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision - Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects - Willingness to work in all weather conditions and at heights - Valid drivers license and reliable transportation Benefits: - Competitive salary - Health insurance - Paid time off - Ongoing training and development opportunities - Opportunities for advancement within the company If you are a skilled and safety-conscious Rigger looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity we encourage you to apply for this position.
