Otis UK is growing and is looking for a Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team in Leicester. The Accounts Payable Specialist will support the AP Lead and wider finance function in ensuring seamless coordination between departments and timely accurate financial outcomes. This role is key to maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders managing critical vendor accounts and driving process accuracy and efficiency across both the UK and offshore AP teams.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Operations & Control

• Ensure timely processing and close monitoring of sensitive and highpriority suppliers including Utilities Health & Safety HR Payroll Rates Rent and other key vendors
• Maintain accurate supplier records and proactively resolve issues that could impact service continuity or supplier relationships
• Actively manage the AP ageing report clearing overdue invoices and completing supplier statement reconciliations
• Ensure no supplier accounts are placed on stop and resolve discrepancies swiftly

CIS & Compliance

• Own and manage the full CIS process for Otis including daily CIS splits and accounting
• Prepare and submit monthly CIS returns to HMRC ensuring full compliance and timely settlement of liabilities
• Support adherence to local tax and compliance requirements

Stakeholder & Shared Services Collaboration

• Act as a key contact for the India Accounts Payable team providing guidance and process expertise to reduce queries
• Build strong working relationships with internal departments buyers and external suppliers
• Work closely with buyers to chase outstanding Goods Receipts (GRs) and ensure timely invoice matching and payment

Reconciliations & Reporting

• Oversee direct debit suppliers and participate in weekly or biweekly review meetings with the Senior AP Specialist and AP Lead
• Conduct regular reconciliations and maintain accurate uptodate financial records

Support & Cover

• Provide cover during the absence of the Senior AP Specialist as required
• Support activities such as PO printing payment approvals prepayments and monthend paid invoice processes
• Manage incoming post and provide general administrative and adhoc support to the wider finance team
• Demonstrate flexibility in supporting additional duties as business needs arise.

What Youll Need to Succeed

Essential:

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or finance role
• Strong understanding of AP processes and account reconciliation
• Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders
• High level of accuracy attention to detail and problemsolving ability

Preferred:

• CIS experience
• Experience working with shared service or offshore finance teams
• Knowledge of SourcetoPay (S2P) processes
• Certification in Accounts Payable or related field
