Oracle DBA

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle DBA to join our team on a freelance basis. As an Oracle DBA you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our companys Oracle databases remotely. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth operation of our databases and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities: - Install configure and maintain Oracle databases remotely - Monitor database performance and recommend improvements - Troubleshoot database issues and provide resolutions - Perform database backups and recovery procedures - Create and maintain database documentation including data standards procedures and definitions for the data dictionary - Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database performance - Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database features and technologies - Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures - Ensure data integrity and perform regular data audits - Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field - Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA - Experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases - Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques - Experience with database backup and recovery procedures - Familiarity with database security best practices - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently - Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively - Oracle DBA certification is a plus If you are a highly skilled and experienced Oracle DBA looking for a challenging opportunity to work remotely with a dynamic team we encourage you to apply for this freelance position.
