Job Overview for Seasonal Part-Time Equipment Operator:
We are seeking a reliable mechanically inclined Equipment Operator to join our mulch manufacturing team. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who understands heavy equipment enjoys troubleshooting and takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently. Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders excavators grinders and dye machines.
Part time hours. Seasonal hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders excavators grinders and dye machines
Monitor production processes to ensure consistent high-quality mulch output
Perform routine maintenance inspections and basic repairs on equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and minimize downtime
Load move and process raw materials safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Qualifications:
Prior experience operating heavy equipment required
Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders excavators grinders and dye machines
Strong mechanical aptitude (ability to diagnose and fix minor equipment issues)
Experience in manufacturing landscaping materials or similar environment preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor setting in varying weather conditions
Dependable hardworking and safety-focused
Willingness to work a MondaySaturday schedule
Working Conditions
Work performed in an outdoor setting environment in conditions like noise hot or cold temperatures
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
Able to pass background and drug screening.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
Ability to read write understand and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential job functions.
