Job Summary

Clerical Officer Grade III Revenue Administrator Billing Team

Full Time 2-Year Fixed Term Contract

We are now inviting applications for the above post for suitably qualified applicants

The ideal candidate will:

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent and relevant administration qualification is essential
  • Certificate /diploma Business Studies or Medical certification is desirable
  • 1 years relevant office experience is essential
  • Previous experience in accounting/finance role is desirable
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills with extensive experience in using computer systems & applications
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Be flexible and capable of working on his/her own initiative
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The Duties of The Position Include:

  • Accurately process billing in line with health insurer agreements helping ensure smooth and timely payments.
  • Review and verify billing details and supporting documents to maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Gather and organise required documentation (e.g. theatre notes invoices reports) for claim submissions.
  • Support the billing of a range of services including pharmacy physiotherapy cardiology and consumables.
  • Manage self-pay accounts and ensure they are processed promptly in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Assist in resolving system or IT issues quickly to keep workflows running smoothly.
  • Handle payments receipts and daily reconciliations while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Deliver a friendly and professional service when assisting patients and responding to queries.
  • Ensure outpatient and minor procedure claims are processed efficiently and without delay.
  • Submit and track claims ensuring all information is complete and up to date.
  • Work closely with consultants and colleagues to gather outstanding information and keep claims moving.
  • Support credit control.
  • Contribute to month-end processes and reporting ensuring everything is completed accurately and on time.
