Job Summary
Technician Media Services (6-Month Contract)The role of Technician is the driving force of our Media Services department. Candidates for this position will be skilled in video distribution video standards conversion and media services. This is a high-workload fast-paced team-oriented department focused on note this is an Hourly position to be brought in on an as-needed Responsibilities & DutiesQuality assuranceNon-linear editingStandards conversionVideo and audio encoding for Broadcast and VODVideo and audio file analysisMetadata entry & creationOther media services related duties as requiredQualificationsRelated post-secondary education in Telecommunications or Film Production1-2 years experience in a TV/Film distribution or post-production environmentAbility to meet strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of qualityKnowledge of frame rate conversion and video and audio file encodingExperience with quality control standards and broadcast technical specificationsTeam-oriented with the ability to take ownership of specific duties and tasksExperience with international and domestic deliveriesExperience with VOD delivery platformsMust have attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust flexible and be able to work shiftsAvid Mediator Composer experience is preferred but knowledge and skills on any editing platform will be considered
