The Bridge Manager is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of bridge construction ensuring project is completed on time within budget and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Job Description

This position is based in Lake Charles LA.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Develop detailed project plans including timelines milestones and resource allocation. Coordinate with engineers architects and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals. Prepare and monitor project schedules to meet deadlines and resolve any delays or issues that arise. Create and manage budgets ensuring projects are completed within the financial scope. Monitor expenditures identify cost-saving opportunities and handle procurement of materials and equipment. Approve invoices and ensure financial transactions are in compliance with the project budget. Maintain accurate records of project progress budget expenditures safety incidents and quality inspections. Prepare and submit detailed reports and presentations for management and stakeholders. Ensure proper documentation for regulatory approvals and inspections. Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with local state and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. Create and manage budgets ensuring projects are completed within the financial scope. Monitor expenditures identify cost-saving opportunities and handle procurement of materials and equipment. Approve invoices and ensure financial transactions are in compliance with the project budget. Hire motivate and lead a high-performing team through coaching top-tier talent retention and directed recruiting efforts. Supervises team including training providing work direction problem-solving assistance reviewing performance recommending salary increases promotions transfers demotions and terminations. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies

Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public fellow employees vendors etc. Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change. Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal. Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches. Ability to function effectively as a team player and collaborator. Ability to work a flexible work schedule additional and/or different hours including but not limited to nights weekends and/or holidays as needed to best serve the business operations. Ability to maintain a current and valid drivers license.

Qualifications

At a minimum the Bridge Manager must have a bachelors degree in civil engineering Construction Management or a related field along with 5 years of experience in bridge construction or civil engineering projects or a high school diploma or equivalent along with 9 years of experience in bridge construction or civil engineering projects. The Bridge Manager must also have at least 3 years experience in a leadership role within civil construction and a current and valid drivers license.
