WHAT YOULL DO
Product Leadership & Development
- Own theend-to-end product lifecyclefrom concept through production ensuring alignment on design intent cost and margin
- Act as theproduct authorityacross categories (knits wovens sets) driving construction fabrication and innovation
- Partner closely with Design and Technical teams totranslate trend into commerciallyviableproduct
- Leadfit sessions prototypereviews and development milestonestomaintainproduct integrity
Trend Research & Concept Direction
- Drive seasonaltrend research market analysis and competitive benchmarking
- Develop and presenttrend decks concept boards and product directionto internal teams and retail partners
- Identifyemerging trends in contemporary sportswear fabric innovation and silhouette evolution
- Champion a culture ofR&D experimentation(new fabrics washes finishes construction techniques)
Merchandising Strategy & Assortment Planning
- Build and executeassortment strategiesthat balance trend core business and retail partner needs
- Analyzesales performance pricing architecture and margin targetsto inform line decisions
- Align product strategy with key accounts (e.g. club mass specialty retail) ensuringcustomer-first thinking
- Driveline architecture and SKU efficiencyacross categories
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as thecentral connectoracross Design Production Sourcing Sales and Planning teams
- Lead and mentor a team of merchandisers/product developers fosteringproduct excellence and innovation mindset
- Partner with overseas vendors and factories to ensuredevelopment feasibility and execution
Execution & Operational Excellence
- OverseePLM systems tech packs and product data accuracythroughout development
- Ensure all products meettimeline cost and quality targetsin a high-volume environment
- Proactively troubleshootdevelopment sourcing and production challenges
ABOUT YOU
- 7 years of experience insportswear merchandising product development or design
- Background as aDesigner or Product Developerwith strong product ownership
- Deepexpertiseincontemporary sportswear(knits wovens active-inspired lifestyle)
- Proven experience working withhigh-volume retailers(club mass or private label preferred)
- Strong knowledge offabrication garment construction and costing
