This position works Monday-Friday; 8 hours per day/ 261-day calendar year.

Range 14; Schedule A; Step 1: $6725.04 - Step 5: $8174.33 Monthly

This is a PROMOTIONAL and OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list and fill a vacancy.
The eligibility list will be used to fill vacancies that may occur during the life of the eligibility list. Per agreement with our classified bargaining unit laid-off CVUHSD classified employees have a preference for reemployment to any vacant position for which they are qualified and apply.In a promotional and open recruitment the promotional list shall take precedence. If the promotional list contains fewer than three eligible and willing ranks certification of additional ranks shall be made from the open list.

The examination process will consist of an evaluation of the submitted supplemental questionnaire (embedded in the application) and an oral technical interview.

Under general supervision of the Director of Security provides support for the safety and welfare of personnel students facilities grounds policy classroom and non-classroom activities and District employees while on district grounds; monitoring campus and supervising/coordinating campus security personnel; respond to reports of vandalism burglary fire or other emergencies at various district facilities; patrol assigned campus buildings and grounds on foot or in a District vehicle; supports the instructional process with specific responsibilities for the safety and welfare of students during classroom and non-classroom activities.

Education:
5 years of experience dealing with adolescents including background in community corrections techniques juvenile parole and probation law enforcement military police school/campus security in a K-12 setting or experience as a supervisor or trainer in one of the fields mentioned above.

Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent including coursework in criminal justice public administration business administration emergency management or a related field.

Possession of a valid California drivers license.

CPR/First Aid Certification SB 1626 Training Certification Successful completion of SB 390 training and certification (Anyone employed on or after July 1 2021 must submit proof of training or the training can be completed through District training program upon employment (Senate Bill No. 390 Chapter 475).
