Austin Industrial is currently seeking an experienced SIPA Supervisor (Scaffold / Soft Craft Operations Supervisor) to support our site operations in McIntosh AL. The SIPA Supervisor will oversee daily scaffold insulation paint and asbestos operations working closely with customer operations and Austin Industrial leadership. This individual will lead crews coordinate resources and ensure all work is completed safely efficiently and in compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the construction use and dismantling of temporary scaffold structures
- Serve as Scaffold Competent Person ensuring compliance and safety prior to scaffold use
- Supervise insulation work on buildings vessels and pipelines
- Provide oversight of paint and asbestos-related activities as required
- Coordinate work planning execution and completion with customer operations
- Lead and mentor craft employees; maintain positive employee and customer relationships
- Ensure work is completed per job packages safety policies and quality standards
- Conduct field inspections safety observations and crew briefings
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to work activities

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong emphasis on scaffold supervision
- Background as a Scaffold Supervisor or General Foreman
- Experience in additional SIPA trades including insulation paint and asbestos
- Scaffold Competent Person training and certification required
- NCCER Scaffold or Foreman certification preferred (not required)
- Journeyman-level experience in applicable soft craft trade(s)
- Strong working knowledge of scaffold systems and safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings job packages and technical documentation
- Proven leadership communication and customer service skills
Requirements
- SAP and KRONOS Experience preferred
- Knowledge of production planning scheduling and process controls
- Experience working in a chemical or heavy industrial environment
- Must possess a valid drivers license to operate plant vehicles
- TWIC Card required
- Ability and willingness to work any shift including nights weekends overtime and call-ins to support operations
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
