Job Skills / Requirements

Summary: The Janitorial Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and sanitary environment throughout assigned facilities. This role performs routine cleaning debris removal and sanitation tasks to ensure all areas meet company standards for cleanliness safety and customer satisfaction.

Janitorial Team Members must follow all company procedures safety protocols and customer requirements while supporting operational efficiency and teamwork within the cleaning services team.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping dusting and trash removal.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms including sinks mirrors toilets floors and dispensers.
• Refill restroom supplies such as soap paper towels and toilet paper.
• Clean vents fixtures entrances thresholds frames and facility surfaces.
• Remove debris dust and dirt from designated work areas to maintain sanitation standards.
• Follow all safety procedures including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow company cleaning standards procedures and customer site requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding work progress and needs.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
• Follow written and verbal instructions related to cleaning assignments.
• Participate in required training sessions and on-the-job training (OJT).
• Support teamwork and cooperate with other personnel to complete tasks efficiently.
• Accurately clock in and out according to company timekeeping procedures.
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with building occupants and customer representatives.
• Perform additional cleaning tasks or operational duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills / Abilities:

Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain cleaning standards.

Basic communication skills for reporting tasks and coordinating with supervisors.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and understand basic written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations such as addition subtraction multiplication and division using standard units of measurement.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple written or verbal instructions.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand walk and use hands to handle equipment and cleaning materials. Frequently required to stoop kneel crouch or crawl during cleaning tasks. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Must have a reliable smartphone as a condition of employment for timekeeping employee portal access and company communications.

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of two (2) years of janitorial facilities management or operations management experience preferred
