Job Summary
The Student Bike Share Coordinator leads the Illinois State University Bike Share Program and plays a key role in promoting sustainable transportation and bike safety on campus. This student staff member will oversee daily bike share operations assist with bike maintenance and support broader sustainability initiatives within our office.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the ISU Bike Share Program
Coordinate bike check-outs and returns
Promote the program to increase student participation
Perform basic bike repairs and routine maintenance (e.g. fixing flats adjusting brakes tuning gears)
Inspect bikes for safety and readiness
Support efforts to expand the Garage 529 bike registration program to improve campus bike security and safety
The Student Bike Share Coordinator will need strong organizational and communication skills for this position as well as the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Pay Rate
$15.00/hour
Required Qualifications
Current ISU student in good academic standing
Knowledge of basic bike repair and maintenance
Interest in sustainability active transportation or campus engagement
Work Hours
10-15 hours per week. Office hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Specific hours to be determined based on availability.

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable an employment history review based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review. Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.
