Provides advanced patient-centered healthcare to children and adolescents with both complex acute and chronic mental health conditions.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Conducts comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders. Monitors and evaluates patients progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for patients.
  • Prescribes pharmacologic agents and provides ongoing medication management and monitoring.
  • Provides psychoeducation and counseling to patients and their families. Assists in the education training and development of new and existing staff members.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.

Education Requirement:

Master of Science degree required.


Licensure Requirement:

Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Ohio required.


Certifications:

ANCC in Primary Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP) required.
