Salary Range: $145000 $160000 annually

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall operations and leadership of the psychiatric unit working collaboratively with the Director. This role ensures high-quality patient care regulatory compliance and effective interdisciplinary coordination.

• Build and maintain professional relationships with patients visitors and staff
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and regulatory requirements
• Oversee daily operations of the psychiatric unit (24/7 accountability)
• Collaborate with the Director on unit management and strategic initiatives
• Lead performance improvement and quality assurance activities
• Prepare and analyze clinical and statistical reports for regulatory agencies
• Monitor admissions discharges and care planning processes
• Ensure readiness for surveys (DOH JCAHO etc.)
• Manage budgeting supplies and inventory
• Ensure adherence to nursing standards ethics and patient care quality
• Provide administrative support for the Nursing Department as needed
• Promote continuing education and professional development
• Implement best practices and innovative care solutions
• Support HCAHPS improvement initiatives

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience
• Minimum 5 years of psychiatric clinical experience
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership/management role
• Mandatory: Experience managing a psychiatric unit in a hospital setting

• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (NYSDOH JCAHO etc.)
• Experience with quality improvement methodologies (CQI Root Cause Analysis)
• Excellent critical thinking analytical and problem-solving skills
• Budgeting and administrative competency
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer and basic math skills
