Job Summary
Job Summary Steel Estimator (South Easton MA)
- Review and analyze project drawings bid documents and construction specifications for structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
- Prepare accurate material counts takeoffs and detailed cost breakdowns for projects.
- Assist in developing pricing for labor materials equipment and subcontracted work.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to gather quotes and clarify pricing information.
- Organize and maintain bid information and support the creation of complete estimate packages.
- Aid in transitioning awarded projects to operations by sharing scope and estimate details.
- Maintain clear and organized records of pricing quantities and project assumptions.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure accurate estimates and support bid strategies.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word Outlook Teams) for documentation and communication.
- No prior estimating experience required; training provided for candidates with strong attention to detail math and analytical skills.
- Interest or background in construction steel fabrication or project costing is a plus.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a team environment.
