Position Summary:
This positionis responsible forproviding general labor inassistingcontract shavings crewobservingcontract catch crew cleaning/disinfecting vehiclesmodulesand equipmentas well asvaccination blood pull and movement of all Cobb products serviced by the regional Cobb Grandparent operation.This position is also responsible for following a weekly schedule to distribute insecticides/pesticides.Other duties may be assigned.
MinimumRequirements
Must have a valid drivers license and be approved to drive a Company vehicle per the Transportation Department.
Essential DutiesandResponsibilities
Place and spray vaccinate 16100 birds at placement at pullet farm.Perform lab sampling on approximately80chick boxes(15%).
Sprayvaccinateapproximately 16100 birds at 2 weeks6weeksand15 weeksof ageand
performs12 and18 weekvaccination; vaccinating approximately 8400 birds per day(30%).
Loads approximately 24modules onto truck using aforklift loads approximately 7500 birds per dayinto modules to move from a pullet to hen farm(15%).
Must be able to read and write to followweekly schedule to distribute insecticides/pesticides at GP contract farms (15%).
Cleans and disinfects modulesvehiclesand equipment (15%).
Other Duties Responsibilities and Activities
Other dutiesresponsibilitiesand activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Such as:Properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy perform routine lab sampling cleaning QA Facility doing laundry picking up supplies assisting contract shavings crew by pulling hose reel trailer to farm and observing contract catch crew to make sure all Animal Welfare guidelines are being followed (10%).

Thejobsiteis abiosecureenvironment which requiresshowering changing clothing and footwearbefore entering the facility.Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company.No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelryand body piercings covered byappropriate clothing.Must bewilling to sign an agreement toavoid any avian species (chickens ducks birds etc.) Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical:Mustuse safe lifting techniques.Mustregularly liftastackof threechick boxesweighingapproximately 36pounds.Must regularly pick up birds weighing up to 10 pounds.Must be able to obtainforklift certification.Must be able to bend up to pick up birds.While performing the duties of this job the employeeisregularly required tostandthe majorityof shift (concrete floor);walk;use hands andfingers tohandle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.Specific vision abilities required by the job include closevision;distancevision;peripheralvision;depthperception;andthe ability to adjust focus.Must havegood communicationskills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.
Tools and Equipment: Forklift power toolscoopsand syringes
Environment: Requiredto work on wet slippery surfacesandin hot dry dustywetand cold environments.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safetygoggles (as needed) chemical gloves (as needed)and rubber boots are required.Ear plugs will be usedas needed.NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.Safety glasses are
