Job Summary

In partnership with our client we are seeking an E-commerce Operations Manager to take full ownership of the end-to-end online shopping experience at one of Nigerias leading garment manufacturing companies. From the moment a customer lands on the website to the moment their order arrives at their door you will be the strategic force ensuring that every step in between is seamless efficient and commercially sound. This is not a coordinator role. You will lead a small team set the operational direction and build the processes that allow the business to scale without breaking. Who are we looking for
  • You are an e-commerce operations professional with at least 3 years of experience managing the full online retail journey from website experience through to last-mile delivery.
  • You are strategic and commercially minded someone who does not just execute tasks but thinks about how operations connect to revenue customer experience and business growth.
  • You are a natural leader who can guide and coordinate a small team set priorities clearly and hold people accountable to high standards of execution.
  • You are deeply process-driven and always asking how things can be done better faster and more reliably as the business grows.
  • You are highly detail-oriented and understand that accuracy in inventory orders and payments is not optional. It is the foundation everything else is built on.
  • You are comfortable working with ERP systems preferably Odoo and understand how they connect to warehouse and inventory workflows.
  • You are calm under pressure especially during peak seasons and high-traffic campaigns when the stakes are highest.
  • You are a strong cross-functional collaborator who can align Warehouse Finance and Commercial teams around shared operational goals without losing momentum.
  • You are data-driven and comfortable building dashboards trackers and performance reports that support clear decision-making.
Your Responsibilities
End-to-End E-commerce Experience
  • You will own the full customer journey from website to delivery ensuring every touchpoint is optimised reliable and commercially aligned.
  • You will oversee the end-to-end order lifecycle from payment confirmation through to final delivery ensuring every step is tracked and executed accurately.
  • You will identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks that impact fulfillment speed accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • You will work closely with the website and commercial teams to improve the digital buying experience checkout flow reliability and overall online store performance.
Team Leadership
  • You will lead and coordinate a team setting clear priorities managing daily operations and developing team capability over time.
  • You will establish clear SLAs across internal stakeholders and monitor adherence consistently ensuring the team delivers to a high and consistent standard.
  • You will build a culture of accountability ownership and continuous improvement within the operations function.
Inventory Governance and amp; Systems Integrity
  • You will ensure real-time inventory accuracy across the website ERP system and warehouse at all times.
  • You will drive periodic stock reconciliation and conduct root-cause analysis whenever discrepancies arise.
  • You will collaborate with the Commercial and Warehouse teams to improve stock visibility and sell-through efficiency.
Revenue Protection and amp; Payment Controls
  • You will oversee payment reconciliation and support daily sell-off reporting to protect online revenue streams.
  • You will detect and resolve payment failures system gaps and leakage risks before they impact the business.
  • You will strengthen internal controls to safeguard the integrity of all online transactions.
Process Optimisation and amp; Scalability
  • You will design and standardise SOPs for peak periods and campaign activations ensuring the team is always prepared and processes are never improvised.
  • You will recommend automation and system enhancements that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • You will continuously review workflows to support business scale and expansion as the brand grows.
Reporting and amp; Strategic Insight
  • You will develop clear operational dashboards and weekly performance reports that give leadership full visibility into what is happening and why.
  • You will provide strategic insights that support data-driven decision-making and growth planning across the business.
What Success looks like
  • Orders fulfilled accurately and on time consistently meeting or exceeding defined SLA targets across the full customer journey.
  • Inventory accurate and consistent across all systems website ERP and warehouse with variances resolved within 24 hours.
  • A high-performing operations team of 3 that executes consistently improves over time and requires minimal escalation.
  • Zero customer complaints caused by operational failures or system errors.
  • Issue resolution during high-traffic periods is faster and more structured with each campaign cycle.
  • Clean reliable operational data available for internal reporting on a weekly basis without gaps or inconsistencies.
  • SOPs documented and followed across all relevant teams reducing dependence on individual knowledge.
To be considered for this role you should have
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce operations with clear exposure to the full online retail journey from website to delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and commercially about operations not just execute tasks.
  • Experience leading or coordinating a small team in an operational setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of order flow inventory management and payment reconciliation.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems with Odoo being a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and operational trackers for reporting and performance monitoring.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure particularly during peak seasons and campaign periods.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • A Bachelors degree in Business Operations Management or a related field is an advantage.
