Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking multiple Quality Engineer II professionals to support pre-production and manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on floor-based role focused on identifying investigating and resolving build and quality issues while driving continuous improvement.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to both early-stage production and full system integration.
Work Schedule & Environment
- 100% onsite in a manufacturing facility
- Primarily 1st shift (early morning to mid-afternoon) with flexibility for other shifts as needed
- Overtime available based on production demands
- No travel required
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve build and quality issues on the manufacturing floor
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
- Collaborate with production engineering and quality teams to ensure issue resolution
- Document findings track progress and follow up on corrective actions
- Support pre-production activities and new project launches
- Take ownership of assigned issues while working within a team-oriented environment
- Drive continuous improvement in quality and manufacturing processes
Work Environment
- Exposure to multiple production areas including:
- Body Shop (robotics welding fabrication)
- General Assembly (final product systems and integration)
- Highly interactive role with cross-functional teams
- Fast-paced hands-on manufacturing setting
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred in Engineering Manufacturing Automotive or related field
- Open to early-career candidates and recent graduates with relevant knowledge or internships
- Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes or mechanical systems
Required Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience or familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies
- Ability to interpret and analyze data using basic statistical methods
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple issues and priorities in a dynamic environment
