Research Assistant II in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care
Job Summary
Applications are invited for appointment asResearch Assistant II in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care of theFaculty of Dentistry to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term or a one-year temporary contract with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should hold a bachelors degree or above preferably in Microbiology Biological Science or related disciplines. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese. An interest in collaborating closely with biologists and the ability to work independently with high motivation are also important. Candidates with experience in animal work are preferred and those who are interested in pursuing postgraduate studies are encouraged to apply.
The appointee will conduct research on cell culture protein expression and animal and antibacterial experiments in a biosafety level 2 laboratory under the supervision of Professor Peng Gao. For enquiries regarding the position please contact Professor Peng Gao at .
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Fixed-term appointments will also include a contract-end gratuity and the Universitys contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of the basic salary.
