Bluevale Capital is a boutique real estate private equity firm that specializes in value-add development and special situational multi-residential projects. Over the past two years the firm has completed over $250M of transactions with the intention of creating a $1B real estate fund over the next 2-3 years. By working with government leaders and by partnering with our sponsors and lenders the companys vision is to create 10000 residential units with a focus on tackling the affordable housing crisis in North America. We are currently putting together a stellar team that will help achieve this goal.

About the Role

We are hiring ahands-on Head of Constructionto lead execution across a growing portfolio of hotel-to-multifamily conversion projects in the Northeast. This is not a corporate oversight rolewerelooking for someone who haspersonally delivered complex projectsand can drive results in the field and at the budget level.

WhatYoullDo

• Lead projects frompre-construction through completion with direct involvement in execution
• Ownbudgets cost tracking and value engineeringensure projects hit pro forma
• ManageGCs subs and field teams stepping in as needed to solve problems in real time
• Build scopes review bids andnegotiate directly with subcontractors
• Develop andmaintainastrong subcontractor network across the Northeast
• Overseepermitting inspections and regulatory processes
• Hire and lead a team ofPMs estimators and superintendents
• Partner with acquisitions tovalidateconstruction assumptions during underwriting

WhatWereLooking For

• 10 years of hands-on construction experience(not just oversight or corporate roles)
• Proventrack recorddelivering$20M projects
• Experience withground-up heavy renovation or adaptive reuseprojects
• Background working at aGC or real estate developer in a build-focused role
• Strong experience withbudgeting cost control and subcontractor management
• Comfortable operating in bothunion and non-union environments
• Deep familiarity with construction acrossCTNYNJ and/orMA

Must-Have

• Havepersonally run jobs end-to-end not just managed from a distance
• Strongcost discipline and value engineering mindset
• Ability tobuild and lead teamswhile staying close to execution
• Establishedsubcontractor relationships in the Northeast

Nice to Have

• Experience withhotel conversions or asset repositioning
• Familiarity withHUD financing or affordable housing
