Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (Adult ED)

Location: Syracuse NY

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for day shift positions in a busy Adult Emergency Department. The role involves caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced acute care environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in trauma settings and capable of functioning with minimal supervision.

Shift Details:

• Day Shift: 07:00 AM 07:30 PM
• Includes every other weekend and occasional holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient care in an emergency department setting
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in acute care situations
• Provide care to both adult and pediatric patients
• Work effectively with minimal orientation and supervision
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of New York
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
• Minimum 1.52 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level
• Strong clinical interpersonal and communication skills
• Clean professional record (no license suspension investigation or liability claims)
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment health screening drug test and background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system
• Experience working in hospitals of equal or larger size (required for travel candidates)

Required Skills & Experience (Text Format):

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the nursing field (Required)
• Experience working in a Level 1 trauma hospital (Highly Desired)
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system (Highly Desired)
• Valid New York State RN License (Required)
