Job Title: Telecommunicaion Engineer

Duration: 9 Months

Location: Austin TX. 78752

Mode of work: Hybrid - On Site and Telework

Description:

Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations including WAN LAN wireless SD-WAN and network security platforms

Oversee daily operational activities including incident management problem resolution and service availability

Serve as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues

Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams including infrastructure and security-focused functions

Support ongoing and planned initiatives including:

• SD-WAN implementation and optimization

• Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Thousand Eyes AppDynamics) Security integrations (e.g. Secure Workload NGFW identity services)

• Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts

• Ensure compliance with Agency security standards policies and regulatory requirements

• Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals

• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering Data Center Telecom and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives

• Provide status reporting risk identification and mitigation planning to leadership

• Maintain documentation of network architecture processes and operational procedures

• Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager

Must have:

• 7 years (Required): Proven experience performing supervisory and management responsibilities including providing clear direction to team members fostering collaboration and motivating teams to achieve organizational goals.

• 7 years (Preferred): Hands-on experience in administration maintenance and design of Cisco VoIP solutions ensuring reliable and scalable voice infrastructure.

• 5 years (Preferred): Demonstrated experience managing networking teams within highly complex enterprise-level environments.

• 5 years (Preferred): Strong experience in implementing and supporting 24x7x365 network voice and video environments ensuring high availability and operational continuity.
