Role: Bookkeeper
Location: York
Salary: Up to 30000 (DOE)

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper job include:
Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a range of clients
Preparation and submission of VAT returns in line with MTD requirements
Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
Processing purchase and sales invoices
Liaising with clients and responding to day to day queries
Ensuring records are kept up to date and deadlines are met
Requirements of the Bookkeeper job include:
Previous experience within an accountancy practice or similar environment
Strong knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping processes
Experience using Xero or similar cloud based software
Good attention to detail
