Job Summary

Description

This position is for Environmental Science majors that are interested in utilizing regenerative agriculture practices including no-till cover crops planting a diverse mix of crops to support beneficial insects.

Student Garden managers will participate in weekly training meetings to develop skills needed for working in the garden and to set priorities for the weeks work. Tasks include working in the organic garden and CNS greenhouse to raise crops from seed maintaining the garden including watering and weeding harvesting maintaining the beds fences and hoses and mulch around the beds to reduce pests. A successful candidate will be committed to exploring regenerative agriculture practices applicable to Ithaca Colleges Organic Garden. Hours and work days are flexible.

Pay Rate: 16.00
