Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have strong critical care skills and experience managing complex pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the PICU setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill pediatric patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or similar facility
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license New York State
- BLS certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Clean professional record and compliance with all employment requirements
