Job Description:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or an equivalent
- Proficient in the English language verbally and written
- At least one (1) year of experience in mechanical maintenance
- Flexibility to work any shift
- This position is safety sensitive and is subject to DOT drug and alcohol regulations
Role and Responsibilities
- Properly clean parts using various methods such as a wire brush blasting processes or the use of chemical sprays
- Visually inspect plated parts for defects and report questionable conditions to the Plating Manager
- Set up and maintain racks machines and tanks for operation
- Adjust controls temperatures and speed of equipment
- Maintain work records including reading and interpreting technical data signing off on work performed and managing time in jobs.
- Mix and test solutions
- Measure mark and mask areas of parts to be excluded from plating
- Process various parts through their wet chemical process using proper chemical disciplines
- Immerse metal parts into chemical solutions using a hoist
- Measure and maintain the proper thickness of coating using calibrated tools
- Hang parts to immerse and dry
- Place plated parts into the industrial oven to dry for a specified time
- Compliance with safety and health protocols including the use of personal protective equipment as required.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and organized manner
- Coordinate with Management and Inspectors to ensure compliance with FAA and internal quality standards

- Repeat bending and/or climb
- Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
