Key Responsibilities:
Day to day operational management of Network monitoring tools : Responsible for accurate inventory of monitored devices making sure all monitoring parameters are adhering to corporate monitoring catalogues and accommodating exception requests wherever applicable
Lead Solution Delivery: Take charge of building and migrating our tools environment ensuring seamless monitoring solution delivery
Leadership & Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to colleagues and collaborate with various departments to enhance our network monitoring capabilities
Optimize & Innovate: Analyze data to optimize monitoring processes and propose enhancements to our network monitoring infrastructure
Strategic Contribution: Play a pivotal role in developing and refining our overall monitoring strategy and architecture
Automation Advocate: Streamline operations by automating repetitive tasks increasing efficiency across the board
Monitoring Tool Ownership: Manage and maintain multiple monitoring tools ensuring they meet our operational needs
Operational Excellence: Handle day-to-day operational tasks with precision and expertise
What Were Looking For:
Monitoring Tools Expertise: Advanced knowledge of monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor NetBrain ThousandEyes BigPanda Dynatrace and/or various types of logging solutions
Networking Proficiency: Strong networking knowledge at the CCNP level (certification would be advantageous)
Project Experience: Proven track record of working on complex projects
Technology Savvy: Broad understanding of various networking technologies and their orchestration
Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills writing clear and concise proposals and presentations and interfacing with peer management stakeholders and executives
Ability to create clear and concise presentations for management stakeholders and executives
Ability to coordinate work tasks with others for timely completion and to avoid potential setbacks
Ability to articulate complex and technical ideas accurately and clearly
Ability to adapt current work processes to meet emerging needs and the ability to evaluate new ideas and proposed methods for practicality and ease of implementation
Service Management Insight: Solid understanding of service management principles and ITIL practices
Global Perspective: Experience working in an international environment
Qualification and Experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution or equivalent corporate working experience
Familiarity with key components and best practices of Observability
Proficiency in analytical tools like Excel PowerBI and Spotfire
Basic scripting skills in Python Git or Bash
Familiarity with Syslog log collection and analytics
Passionate about data and good data evangelist
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Network as a Service (NaaS)
