Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong experience assisting in complex cardiovascular surgeries including open heart and vascular cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during open heart and vascular surgeries
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team
- Ensure adherence to all safety and infection control protocols
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Tech experience
- CVOR experience preferred
- Experience scrubbing open heart and vascular cases including wired vascular procedures
- Ability to work in a high-acuity fast-paced surgical environment
Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
- AHA BLS certification (current)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
