Title: Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Fort Myers FL
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possible extension)

Job Summary

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity fast-paced unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills prior travel experience and the ability to manage complex maternal and fetal cases while working independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during labor delivery and immediate postpartum periods
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions using fetal monitoring systems
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed
• Assist physicians during labor delivery and emergency procedures
• Respond effectively to high-risk and high-acuity situations
• Educate patients and families on labor recovery and newborn care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with physicians midwives and interdisciplinary teams
• Follow safety infection control and clinical protocols
• Float to other units or affiliated campuses as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Must reside 50 miles from the facility (radius rule applies)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Prior travel experience required

Certifications Required:

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (must be completed and passed)

Preferred Qualifications

• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• EFM Certification
• Experience managing high-acuity patient populations
