Job Summary
Overview
Jhpiego seeks to engage qualified Research Interviewers/Data Collectors to support the implementation of the C19RM Impact Evaluation. The role will be responsible for collecting high-quality quantitative and qualitative data across health facilities and communities ensuring adherence to standardized protocols ethical guidelines and data quality requirements. The position is critical to generating reliable primary data that will inform assessment of program outcomes health systems strengthening and overall impact of the C19RM investment.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection Implementation
- Administer structured questionnaires at:
- Health facilities (readiness assessments provider interviews)
- Communities/households (where applicable)
- Client exit interviews
- Conduct qualitative data collection including:
- Key Informant Interviews (KIIs)
- Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) (for designated qualitative interviewers)
- Accurately record responses using approved digital platforms (e.g. ODK KoboToolbox)
- Data Quality Assurance
- Ensure completeness consistency and accuracy of all collected data
- Participate in daily data review and validation processes with supervisors
- Identify and promptly report inconsistencies errors or field challenges
- Maintain proper documentation of field activities and observations
- Ethical Compliance & Respondent Engagement
- Obtain informed consent from all respondents prior to data collection
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of all participants and data collected
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism during interviews
- Adhere strictly to research ethics and safeguarding protocols
- Field Coordination & Logistics
- Work collaboratively with field supervisors and team members
- Adhere to assigned schedules travel plans and daily targets
- Participate in training pretesting and pilot exercises
- Provide feedback on tools and field processes to improve implementation
- Use of Digital Tools
- Operate tablets/smartphones for electronic data capture
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues during data collection
- Ensure timely synchronization/upload of collected data to central server
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or HND in public health Health Management Social Sciences Communications Development Studies or a related field
- Minimum of1 2 years of experiencesupporting program coordination implementation support knowledge management or communications for donor-funded health projects.
- Survey data collection (quantitative and/or qualitative)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent writing and communications skills including demonstrated technical writing skills for publication
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks short deadlines and intense pressure to perform
- References will be required.
- Excellent skills in facilitation team building and coordination
