Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects in Fort Bragg Army Base area in Fayetteville NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing on-site construction activities ensuring that projects are completed safely on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and supervise all phases of construction projects ensuring compliance with safety regulations planning schedules and work procedures.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate subcontractors and workers ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders including clients architects engineers and subcontractors to facilitate coordination and resolve any issues that arise.
- Site Management: Conduct regular site inspections enforce safety measures and report any hazards or incidents to upper management.
- Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality control procedures ensuring that all work meets industry standards and project requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities progress reports and any changes to the project scope or schedule.
- Problem-Solving: Identify project challenges and proactively implement solutions to stay on track with project deliverables.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 10 years of supervisory experience in commercial or industrial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction methods safety protocols and quality control practices.
- Proficient in construction management software including Procore MS Office and scheduling tools.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications and construction drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to managing challenges.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field.
- Experience with environmental or civil engineering projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in North Carolina.
