Associate Teacher (English) Kindergarten

WHAT YOULL DO

• Teach engaging creative curriculum and lessons aligned with Avenues expectations and approach
• Lead English literacy curriculum including phonics curriculum differentiated reading groups and writing units of study
• Co-plan mathematics instruction with head teacher and lead English mathematics lessons and student work centers
• Collaborate closely with a team of English Spanish and Chinese immersion teachers to continually improve student learning and school culture
• Experience conducting formal and informal assessments and analyzing student data to inform instruction
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment ease in effectively prioritizing multiple tasks and competing demands
• Strong communication (verbal written interpersonal) skills 
• Participate actively in ongoing professional learning
• Help to build a robust learning atmosphere that leads students to value being at school and feel part of a joyful community
• Foster strong relationships with students families and parents

Qualifications :

WHAT YOULL BRING

• At least 2 years of teaching experience preferably in Kindergarten
• Solid understanding of early literacy and math pedagogy and instruction
• Deep dedication to learning and developing the craft of teaching
• Superb ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals
• Curiosity and humility to reflect welcome feedback and continually grow in teaching practice
• Bachelors degree required masters candidates in early childhood or bilingual education strongly preferred

Additional Information :

If hired for this position the annual salary range is between $53000 - $67000. The salary may vary depending on your professional experience and skills.
