HSS Manager O&M
Job Summary
As a key member of the Spanish team the O&M HSS Manager supports the business by leading and coordinating all Health Safety and Security (HSS) activities for O&M assets in Spain ensuring full compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HSS activities across all O&M assets in Spain.
- Ensure full compliance with Occupational Risk Prevention regulations and other applicable HSS legal requirements.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with company HSS standards policies and procedures.
- Take direct responsibility for HSS compliance in O&M operations supported by a dedicated HSS team.
- Represent the Company before relevant administrative and regulatory bodies.
- Define plan and follow up on HSS objectives for O&M operations.
- Ensure implementation and alignment with the Statkraft Way.
- Prepare O&M HSS reports and related documentation.
- Organise and carry out regular site visits to O&M assets.
- Perform HSS inspections audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate align and closely monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure HSS compliance.
- Lead incident investigation reporting and analysis ensuring appropriate corrective measures are implemented.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of HSS practices across all projects and assets.
- Promote a strong HSS culture within O&M operations and among external partners.
Qualifications :
- Bsc in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineer;
- Specific H&S qualification in accordance to Spanish Law.
- Masters Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (Máster en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales).
- Good knowledge of Spanish HSS legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in HSS management within O&M activities ideally in the renewable energy or industrial sector.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- At least 5 years of professional experience working in large scale energy O&M sites (wind and solar);
- Previous experience in HV projects (i.e. substations and/or transmission lines)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent word processing and IT Skills including knowledge of a range of software packages such as Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to work on your own initiative;
